Digital Code Lock (Laptop & Tablet Products)

OPERATING AND PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS

3780 RH White Digital Code Lock

INSTRUCTIONS

  • To programme the lock, choose a function from the tables below and follow the steps 1 to 5 in order. Ignore steps with no action.
  • All acceptable button presses are indicated by a green light.
  • Incomplete functions will time-out after 4 seconds.
  • Errors and time-outs are indicated by a flashing red light.
  • Following an error or time-out the lock will revert to its previous settings.
  • Master Codes are 8 digits, Sub-master and Technician codes are 6 digits and User codes are 4 digits in length
  • A flashing red LED light prior to a lock or unlock indicates a low battery which should be replaced as soon as possible.

    Hints & Tips:
[Logo] means press the Crossed Keys logo button
[Master Code] means enter the master code
Step 3 when required means enter a 2 digit number even if there is a leading zero (for example 01)

The lock is supplied with a default Master Code. For security, please ensure you change this code for your own Master Code and then keep a safe record. It is not possible to program the lock without this code.

BATTERY LEVEL INDICATOR

The digital code lock is powered by 2 AA 3.6V batteries. These batteries will occassionally require replacement. This requires the lock to be removed from the door by removing the 2 fixing bolts and cam arm. Battery level is indicated by the LED colours - 4 green lights is excellent, 1 green light is low and a red light means the batteries should be changed as soon as possible. We recommend the use of high quality Varta batteries which are supplied fitted with our locks.

Checking the battery level:

PUBLIC AND PRIVATE MODES

Public mode enables multiple users to utilise the same locker compartment by using a 4 digit code of their own choice to open an available locker and by re-entering the same code to lock it. The lock will not lock automatically in this mode. The mode of operation is just like a hotel safe. Slow flashing red LED when locked. Locker administrators can not add user codes to locks in this mode. (Locker products have lock programmed in Public mode by default).

Private mode provides a locker dedicated to a single user with a fixed code. This code is required to open the locker and the lock automatically re-locks itself after 4 seconds (but can still be closed). Codes are added to locks by the locker administrator. (Trolley and Cabinet products have locks programmed in Private mode by default).

(Locker products have lock programmed in Public mode by default).

NOTES

  1. Time codes are always 3 digit codes corresponding to the number of minutes. So 001 is 1 minute and 480 is 8 hours. The maximum time is 999 (16 hours and 39 minutes). Times are approximate to +/- 10%.
  2. The digital code locks on both our trolleys and lockers are battery powered. Typical cycle life is more than 50,000 operations. In terms of life span in years it's a more difficult call, if they are in low temperature settings life is shortened, and if in the case of lockers they are set in public mode (hotel safe type use) then this drains the battery a little quicker as the light blinks when locked. We should also add that if low cost budget batteries are fitted as replacements then life expectancy is again reduced. We recommend the use of high quality Varta batteries which are supplied fitted with our locks.
  3. If all Master Codes are lost, for security reasons, it is only possible to programme a new Master Code by returning the lock to zioxi.
